The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all flooring surfaces within a facility. This includes tasks such as sweeping mopping scrubbing waxing buffing and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

No experience required and on the job training provided

No high school diploma GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service experience

1 year of similar work experience

Position Summary:
The Floor Technician is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all flooring surfaces within a facility. This includes tasks such as sweeping mopping scrubbing waxing buffing and vacuuming floors to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain various types of flooring (tile carpet hardwood concrete etc.)
Operate floor care equipment such as buffers scrubbers extractors and vacuums
Strip wax and polish floors as needed
Spot clean carpets and perform deep carpet cleaning
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate signage when working
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors
Ensure compliance with company standards and health regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services is a plus
Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment
Good communication and time management skills

Work Environment:

May involve working evenings weekends or overnight shifts
Requires standing walking bending and lifting for extended periods
