Location: Masbate Philippines
Are you ready to be part of a team that drives innovation and sustainability in energy solutions Wärtsilä is looking for a skilled and dedicated Plant Technician to help us operate and maintain our facilities with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Plant Technician you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and safe operations. Your responsibilities include:
Operating and maintaining the plant during your shift in line with company policies procedures and operational plans
Reconditioning overhauling and assembling engine and auxiliary equipment components
Inspecting mechanical and pneumatic systems and performing corrective actions as needed
Complying with all safety regulations including isolation lockout/tagout and emergency procedures
Supporting the Maintenance Supervisor with tasks and coordination
Coaching and mentoring technicians and general labor staff
Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of work areas machinery and tools
Preparing accurate work reports in accordance with company guidelines
What You Bring
Youll thrive in this role if you have strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. Were looking for someone with:
Professional Skills:
Operation management and customer understanding
Knowledge of engine systems: charge air compressed air cooling water exhaust gas fuel (LFO & HFO) gas fuel lubricating oil sludge steam
Emission reduction systems
Scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting experience
General Skills:
Effective communication
Cost awareness and operational efficiency
Strong teamwork and collaboration
Familiarity with Wärtsiläs quality health safety and environmental standards
Mandatory Requirements:
- Preferably locally base in Masbate
- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
