The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver Sewage Water Treatment Plant upgrades for our Unity Water Program across the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast area.

With a portfolio valued at approximately $4 billion over the next 5 years and projects ranging from $1 million to $300 million Downer is poised for significant growth including doubling our team size within 3 years.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage coordinate and deliver a complex range of multiple sized projects including design and construction
Key responsibilities of this role will also include proposal writing for the client which will play a pivotal role
Manage and drive a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in delivery of ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practices
Manage and administer subcontracts
Manage coordinate and maintain good working relationships with sub-contractors and the client to effectively and efficiently deliver projects
Manage and maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders during the delivery of projects
Deliver projects so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients communities environmental management requirements and other legislative requirements

What we are looking for

Engineering qualification is essential
Experience in Sewage Water Treatment specially is essential
Project Management certification
Minimum 5 years of complex project management experience within the water treatment sector
Previous team management experience
