Execute the Physician-ordered plan of care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
Administer a full range of non-complex therapeutic treatments including manual exercises massage heat/cold modalities and electrical stimulation.
Effectively educate and communicate with patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress.
Monitor patient status closely and promptly report any changes or adverse reactions to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation that adheres to all regulatory standards.
Uphold strict infection control and standard precautions in all patient care activities.
Promote compliance with all third-party payor and fiscal intermediary regulations.
Commit to professional growth by meeting all mandatory continuing education requirements and participating in the Agencys quality programs.
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapist assistant with an associate level degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
Licensure: Active state license as a physical therapist assistant or a multi-state license issued by a Physical Therapy Licensure Compact (PTLC) member state or if licensure do not apply meets one of the requirements listed in 42 CFR 484.115(i).
Experience: One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant preferred.
Skills: Therapy skills as set forth in the Therapy Practice Act and other regulatory agencies. Good interpersonal skills. Proof of current CPR certification.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance. Current drivers license.
