Reports to: Dutile Principal and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & InstructionOverview: The Dutile School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to fill a unique full-time position split between two critical roles: .5 Elementary Assistant Principal (K-5) and .5 Physical Education and Health Coordinator for grades K-7. This role requires a versatile leader who can support school-wide administration and discipline while also providing visionary leadership and coordination for our Physical Education and Health curriculum across elementary and middle school grades. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator a collaborative team player and possess a strong commitment to student well-being academic success and physical :Masters Degree in a related field Administrator License (Assistant Principal/Principal) required or eligibility for Educator License in Physical Education and/or Health Education (all levels preferred).Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience preferably in Physical Education or knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Health and Physical understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies for elementary and middle school communication interpersonal and organizational to work collaboratively with diverse to fostering a positive inclusive and equitable school Responsibilities:A. .5 Elementary Assistant Principal (Dutile School)Instructional Leadership:- Assist the Principal in the development implementation and evaluation of instructional programs and initiatives.- Support teachers in curriculum development instructional strategies and assessment practices.- Participate in the supervision and evaluation of teaching staff as assigned by the Principal.- Help foster a positive and inclusive learning Support and Discipline:- Assist in managing student behavior implementing restorative practices and addressing disciplinary issues.- Collaborate with teachers parents and support staff to address student needs and concerns.- Support the implementation of school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).- Assist with student attendance monitoring and intervention.- Oversee 504s and MTSS processSchool Operations:- Support the daily operations of the school including but not limited to student arrival/dismissal lunch supervision and special events.- Assist in developing and implementing school safety plans and emergency procedures.- Help manage school facilities and resources as needed.- Cover for the Principal in their absence as and Community Engagement:- Maintain effective communication with students staff parents and the wider school community.- Assist in organizing and attending school events parent meetings and community functions.B. .5 PE and Health Coordinator (Grades K-7)Curriculum Development and Alignment:- Lead the ongoing development review and revision of the K-7 Physical Education and Health curriculum ensuring alignment with state frameworks and national standards.- Research and integrate best practices in Physical Education and Health education.- Collaborate with PE and Health teachers to ensure curriculum consistency and vertical articulation across grades Support and Professional Development:- Provide direct instructional support coaching and resources to K-7 Physical Education and Health teachers.- Identify professional development needs of Physical Education and Health staff and plan/facilitate relevant training opportunities.- Stay current with research and trends in physical education health education and Oversight and Assessment:- Coordinate the K-7 Physical Education and Health programs including scheduling resource allocation and equipment needs.- Oversee the assessment of student learning in Physical Education and Health and support teachers in using data to inform instruction.- Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation in physical activity and healthy Management:- Assist in developing and managing the budget for K-7 Physical Education and Health programs and of Employment:This is a 210-day positionThis role and its wages fall within the Billerica Administrators Group (BAG) contract - Experience:
