Position: Director of Business Development We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development to lead and execute growth initiatives across our geographic and market sectors. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing a high-performing business development team building client relationships and aligning firm-wide development efforts with long-term strategy. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge proven team leadership and a passion for driving growth and visibility in the A/E/C market.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the business development team including internal staff and external partners.
- Set and monitor team goals resolve obstacles and support development across all regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients teaming partners and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities across federal state and local markets.
- Represent the company at trade shows networking events and industry organizations (ULI A4LE APPA etc.).
- Coordinate proposal development strategies teaming efforts and go/no-go decisions.
- Guide and support business development in new geographies and across service lines.
- Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns capability briefings and strategic messaging.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and shared calendars to track client interactions follow-ups and opportunities.
- Conduct and support strategic planning meetings annual BD retreats and interdepartmental collaboration.
Job Requirements: - Bachelors degree required.
- 8 years of experience in business development marketing or client engagement within the A/E/C industry.
- Proven success in team leadership and program management.
- Strong understanding of municipal state and federal procurement.
- Excellent communication relationship-building and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for events client meetings and regional office visits.
- Must be able to lift and transport marketing and tradeshow materials (30 lbs) and participate in extended event days.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Pre-employment drug test background check and valid drivers license required.
