Make a difference as Production Specialist
Spend time in the field actively monitoring the crops reading the plants and identifying pests diseases or other challenges;
Provide agronomic support and maintain communication with producers and international colleagues to monitor seed production progress and quality;
Collect and register production data in our ERP system for insights into seed availability research and analysis working both remotely and on-site at production locations in the Netherlands and abroad (Latin America East Africa and Asia);
Initiate and manage improvement processes for new production trials;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Research & Development Seed Operations and Marketing & Sales to optimize seed availability;
Establish and maintain optimal production conditions for new varieties while documenting relevant production characteristics;
Travel regularly to guide production activities in dynamic and fast-growing regions.

What you bring as a future colleague
Bachelors or Masters in Plant Sciences or (International) Agribusiness Studies (background with strong practical experience is also valuable);
At least 3 years of experience in agribusiness and/or (vegetable) seed cultivation preferably in tomato and/or eggplant;
A passion for plants and an eye for plant-related pests and diseases;
Excellent communication skills in English and preferably also in Dutch;
Analytical practical and solution-oriented;
Willing to travel (within and outside Europe);
Hold a valid drivers license.
Your affinity and experience with plants are of great value. Your love for plants agronomic curiosity and ability to read them empowers you to detect crop issues and suggest essential actions for growers. You maintain a good overview and are skilled in planning and organising. In international interactions with producers and regional colleagues your adaptability shines as you tailor your approach to diverse cultures and local conditions.
You are a real doer who loves organizing and coordinating but also enjoys being in the field close to the crop and working hands-on with growers. Your green knowledge and passion for seed production make you the colleague who wants to grow with us. Tomato is one of the most commercially important crops within Enza Zaden and in this role you will contribute directly to the success and growth of this dynamic crop worldwide.
