Job Description
Job Profile Title: MS&T Process Specialist
Direct Report to: MS&T Technical Manager
Group/ Division: PSG

Position Location:Swindon
Join our Swindon team as a dedicated and ambitious MS&T Process Specialist. Thermo Fisher Scientific provides a crucial role in improving our Production teams functions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Production team in setting up equipment and processes.
- Generate and approve process documentation.
- Transfer and leverage existing process knowledge into the SWC systems.
- Implement and deliver effective safe and compliant manufacturing operations.
- Maintain processes in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in equipment and process validation during commercial manufacturing.
- Champion and establish robust lean compliant processes.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers acting as a key contact for client personnel.
- Implement staff training and development programs.
- Troubleshoot and improve manufacturing filling inspection and packaging processes.
- Monitor and communicate progress to essential collaborators.
- Acquire and maintain a Bronze license Badge for Production areas.

- Understand and align with emergency procedures and safe systems of work.
- Ensure adherence to environmental health and safety rules and signage.
- Promptly report and investigate all accidents near misses and rule breaches.
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in Science or Engineering ideally in Pharmaceutical or Chemical Engineering desired but not essential.
- Essential understanding of end-to-end aseptic processes (liquids powders lyophilization).
- Desirable experience with new facility/process start-ups.
- Proactive pragmatic and sound decision-making skills.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and technical writing.
- Willingness to travel and work outside the UK for equipment validation.
