The Team
The Avalanche Weather Radio and Telecommunications team is a small dedicated group responsible for maintaining the Ministrys critical radio communications infrastructure and associated systems. This tight-knit team of technical professionals supports province-wide operations to ensure the safety and reliability of communication networks essential to highway maintenance and public safety.
The Role
As a Radio Systems Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of the Ministry of Transportation and Transits (MOTT) proprietary radio system and supervising the development and standards that govern the design manufacture and installation of components related to MOTTs radio systems. The position provides expert advice and services to the Province IMB regions districts other public agencies and road and bridge maintenance contractors regarding radio system operations and infrastructure. This position must say informed and current about the most recent developments in this professional field to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. The position requires the individual to be technically proficient self-learning and have excellent communication skills.
