Adult Education Math Tutor The Learning Bank

Monroe Public Schools is seeking a Math Tutor to support adult learners at The Learning Bank. This is a part-time position approximately 10 hours per week and the tutor will report directly to the Learning Bank Director.

Responsibilities include:

Providing individualized and small-group math instruction to adult education students.
Assisting learners in developing foundational math skills needed for GED preparation employment or further education.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to both learners and instructional staff.
Supporting the creation of a positive encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications:

Strong math skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly to adult learners.
Prior tutoring teaching or educational support experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with program staff.

Hours & Compensation:

Approximately 10 hours per week
Hourly rate: $27.05
