CIBCs Summer Internship Program is a dynamic 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn Connect Grow the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network.

As a Communications intern you will:

Learn: Gain hands-on experience by supporting the communications team in organizing and delivering impactful messaging that advances the strategic goals of the US Region and its lines of business/functional groups. Contribute to the planning and timing of communications across relevant channels and assist in managing digital assets to enhance communication strategies.

Connect: Build your network by collaborating with colleagues across the bank engaging with fellow interns and interacting with executive leadership.

Grow: Benefit from mentorship leadership support and community outreach initiatives while developing essential soft and hard skills to advance your future career.

Who You Are

Currently pursuing a bachelors degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027 in Communications Marketing Public Relations or a related field
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong teamwork and partnership mindset
Thoroughness in execution and follow-through
Strategic and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving
Conceptual thinker with the ability to connect ideas to actionable solutions
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
Authorized to work in the U.S.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel)

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience qualifications and location of the position.
