Assistant Lighting Technologist

About the Role:
Based at Head Office in Enderby Leicestershire. Working Pattern: 5 days a week onsite with some flexibility once embedded into the role. Core hours between 8am to 6pm.

We are looking for an Assistant Lighting Technologist to join our Next Home team!

The role
You will be working closely alongside the Home product teams using your technical knowledge or love of lighting and/or electronics to provide support and ensure product development is meeting the businesss standards for quality and value as well as adhering to legal and industry standards.

You will be evaluating new products to ensure they are legal and safe and meet performance and legal requirements.

Providing technical support to the Product Team and promoting collaborative and close working relationships.

Support develop and review the seasonal ranges; always looking out for market opportunities and new trends.

Approving and progressing the range; providing clear and concise written and verbal communication internally and externally ensuring that the correct documentation is used.

Preparing for launch; reporting exceptions to launch to the Product Team and line manager with solutions to problems are met.

Managing in season; having awareness of current sales information including best sellers.


About You
Youll have technical knowledge of Lighting or have a keen interest in all things electronics!
You must have the ability to communicate this in a clear and compelling way across the business. Youll also be highly analytical and able to accurately interpret data from across the business.

A natural problem solver youll be able to make a logical and inventive contribution to the design and development process as well as expertly managing the technology critical path for development. Youll also have a keen eye for detail and be able to ensure the quality and compliance of all products.

You will ideally have applied technical knowledge of Lighting or general electronic products
Highly organised with good prioritisation skills.

A confident and clear communication skills; both verbal and written to work productively alongside product teams and external suppliers.
