Our group
At Physical Failure Analysis group (PFA) we develop and maintain software to automate the operation of Scanning Electron Microscopes. Our solutions are crucial for the semiconductor industry ensuring that components are robust reliable and energy-efficient. As part of our international team of scientists software developers and engineers you will contribute to the development of application software that automates instruments. Your insights will improve solution robustness accelerate research and improve decision-making.
Daily Challenges
- Develop AI agents which will aid in an automation of a workflow on a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
- Develop MCP servers to facilitate communication with advanced scientific instruments.
- Create AI-compatible documentation including structured data descriptions and metadata
- Design effective prompts
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team and readiness to offer help
- Experience with Python and C#
- Proficient in English language
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Passion for new technologies and willingness to apply them
- Eagerness to understand the electron microscopes domain
The following skills are nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML algorithms and models
- Skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving
