Job Summary

We are seeking a Specialist Financial Reporting on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to be responsible for the preparation and analysis of high quality financial reporting information to ensure that local and group reporting requirements are met. 

This role will be based in our London Head Office where we operate a hybrid working policy with a requirement for 3 days a week in the office.

To be considered for this role you must have the right to work in the UK.

Key role requirements:

  • Prepare relevant business interim and year end financial submissions for AA plc reporting purposes.
  • Perform HFM loads of key business entities.
  • Prepare Corporate plan and forecasts.
  • End-to-end project management and progress tracking of the team during month-end processes
  • Work together with the internal partners to prepare business statutory financial statements.
  • Prepare supplementary submissions to Statutory Entity boards and committees at various times during the year.
  • Liaise with the external auditors.
  • Liaise with Group Tax on year-end tax returns and other tax requirements. 
  • Facilitate the deregistration and liquidation of dormant entities in the structure.
  • Ensure effectiveness of financial controls within area of accountability.
  • Undertake activities to standardise and optimise controls in the internal control framework.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and testing of changes to current systems that are used by the Group Finance function.

Qualifications :

Required:

  • Degree educated.
  • Chartered Accountant with minimum 1 years experience post qualification.

Technical skills / knowledge requirements:

  • Competency in relevant financial systems (e.g. SAP; HFM; Blackline)
  • Experience in performing consolidations
  • Experience in statutory reporting
  • Experience in a multinational business of comparable scale and complexity
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering work to a very high standard
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions and approaches to problems
