As a Production Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of new production lines. You will collaborate with multiple departments and be responsible for various aspects of production from process design to quality control.
Job responsibilities:
1. New line SOP Coordination: Work closely with cross-function teams for new production lines. Ensure that SOPs are comprehensive accurate and in line with company standards and industrys best practices.
2. Process and Fixture Validation: Conduct thorough validations of production processes and fixtures.
3. Trouble - shooting and Optimization: Respond promptly to production - related issues troubleshoot problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Continuously monitor production processes to identify areas for optimization. Propose and execute optimization measures to improve overall production efficiency.
4. Process Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives based on data analysis and Cpk study feedback from production teams.
5. Production Standard Document Drafting: Draft production - related standard documents PEWI OPL.
6. Quality Complaint Analysis: Analyze quality complaints received from customers or internal stakeholders.
7. Best Practice Adoption and Promotion: Research and identify best practices in the industry related to production engineering.
8. Digitalization Efforts: Explore and implement digital solutions in the production process.
Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree or above majoring in engineering preferably in mechanical industrial or manufacturing engineering.
2. 5 years of experience in production engineering in automotive industry is a must with a proven track record in new production line setup process improvement and quality control.
3. Proficiency in process design fixture design and quality control tools. Knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies is a plus.
4. Familiar with tools like SPC MSA FMEA etc.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Problem - solving skills attention to detail and the ability to drive continuous improvement are essential.
