Job Summary

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible impactful and financial results for Visas network clients including issuers merchant acquirers and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting data analytics product portfolio management risk digital brand management marketing operational and macroeconomics Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.  

The Visa Consulting and Analytics team is looking for individuals to support the team on strategic consulting engagements.   

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual and strategic thinker ideally with previous consulting experience.   
 

Typical projects may include:   

  • How does a financial institution increase market share in consumer credit cards   
  • How should a credit card issuer use emerging technology to acquire the best customers   
  • How does a financial institution grow their credit card portfolio while mitigating credit risk   
  • How does a financial institution optimize their product offering   

Responsibilities:   

  • Play an integral role on a team of experienced professionals in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients   
  • Complete consulting engagements with other team members including participating in interviews analyzing confidential client data and summarizing key findings   
  • Conduct industry research and identify internal and external data resources to create custom analytics   
  • Complete detailed analysis on client data and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data 
  • Develop client-specific presentations which address executive needs and deliver presentations to clients and internal Visa partners 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications 

  • Students pursuing an MBA Degree with a graduation date in December 2026-August 2027; 2 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Strong communications skills specifically the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Excellent client-facing communication storytelling and presentation skills with ability to articulate findings in action-driven recommendations  
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights  
  • Ability to form hypotheses on client issue root causes and validate thinking quickly using data  
  • Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional  
  • experts  
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt  
  • Strong intellectual curiosity to understand the root cause of issues and how to drive value for clients  
  • Proficient and ideally a power-user of spreadsheet and presentation tools  
  • An interest in learning advanced analytics tools (SAS R Tableau etc.)  
  • An interest in payments financial institutions or consumer lending a plus  
  • An affinity for payments technology and its future 
  • Knowledge of finance a plus  
  • Ability to speak read and write French a plus 

Additional Information :

Internship Duration: 12 weeks starting May 2025

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization to work in the Canada is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position. 

This is a hybrid position: Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 0% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
