As the Senior Engineering Manager for Commerce you will be a key technology leader driving Nines Consumer Platform transformation. You will own the entire Order to Cash engineering organization responsible for building the foundational Subscriptions Billing and Payments platforms that power all of Nines consumer revenue.
What youll do:
Define and execute the technical strategy for the Commerce journey.
Lead coach and mentor multiple engineering teams and their managers (onshore/offshore).
Decisively decommission complex legacy systems (e.g. Zuora Piano) and consolidate vendors into a modern scalable platform.
Drive delivery of a high-quality resilient platform that unlocks significant forecasted revenue growth across Nines products (e.g. Stan Publishing).
Manage senior stakeholders across Product Finance and key technology vendors
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- 5 years in a technology leadership role with proven experience managing multiple engineering teams and other Engineering Managers.
- A strong track record of delivering large-scale consumer-facing digital platforms ideally as part of a major consolidation or transformation program.
- Deep domain expertise in e-commerce and subscription platforms with hands-on experience with Subscription Management & Billing systems (e.g. Zuora Stripe Billing) and Payment Gateways (e.g. Stripe Braintree Adyen).
- Proven ability to manage the complexity of a multi-vendor technology stack and lead a technical vendor selection (RFP) process.
- Proven ability to lead in a DevOps culture with strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) infrastructure-as-code and managing 24/7 transactional services with high-security requirements (e.g. PCI Compliance).
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor other managers manage senior stakeholders and drive outcomes in a complex environment.
