Qualifications:
Masters degree
Possess Principal/Mid-Management Certification
Minimum of three years successful campus teaching experience
Minimum of three years successful administrative experience
Demonstrated ability as an instructional leader
Certified teacher appraiser
Proven leadership skills
Primary Purpose:
Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations at the campus level. Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Direct the implementation of District policies and instructional programs and manage the operation of all campus activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the campus advisory team.
- Develop informal evaluation models and implement District-wide formal evaluation models which willdetermine the effectiveness of programs.
- Monitor program operation and implement changes based on evaluation and other relevant information.
- Effectively utilize materials facilities support staff and other related resources.
- Oversee and maintain the physical plant and inventories.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of programs and projects for which he/she is responsible and punctually submit accurate reports as may be required by law District policy or administrative regulation.
- Effectively administer fiscal resources and maintain appropriate and accurate records of all financial activities.
- Interact effectively with students to promote positive attitudes toward the school programs.
- Maintain a learning environment (curricular co-curricular extracurricular) that enhances the academic physical social and emotional development of students
- Assist faculty and staff in identifying defining and solving instructional related problems.
- Utilize the instructional staff and support services (intra-district and inter-district) to maintain and improve the instructional program.
- Facilitate teacher implementation of concepts and content in all instructional areas.
- Conduct instructional observations and conferences with staff that result in diagnostic and prescriptive feedback for growth and improved performance.
- Facilitate staff development including inservice activities workshops and support materials.
- Implement a discipline management system that produces a safe and productive campus environment.
- Identify involve and motivate staff appropriate to the task.
- Exhibit and encourage high professional and ethical standards.
- Support communicate and interpret District goals policies procedures and directives to the staff under his/her direction and supervise their implementation.
In collaboration with district safety personnel establish and implement a comprehensive campus plan that ensures the safety of all students and staff.
Oversee the implementation of the campus staffing plan including recruitment hiring and retention of high quality staff.
Develop and implement professional learning community processes to support learning for all students and staff.
Demonstrate professional interactions and support for collaborative decision making.
Professionally communicate and interpret school goals Board policies administrative
procedures and TEA regulations to various publics.
Maintain a positive image of the school by involving community members and agencies in a supportive role and by attending school functions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
