Data Strategy Intern, Global Data Office Summer 2026

Visas Internship Program provides an immersive 12-week journey where youll work on impactful projects that drive Visas mission forward. As a Visa intern youll build valuable connections across the organization sharpen your communication and business acumen and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic global environment.  

Throughout the program youll have exclusive access to interactive workshops and learning sessions designed to deepen your expertise expand your industry knowledge and elevate your professional skillset. You wont just be learning youll be contributing collaborating and innovating every step of the addition to professional development youll enjoy a variety of intern social events that foster community connection and fun throughout the summer  

The experience culminates in an exciting final presentation where youll showcase your project achievements share key insights and present your recommendations to Visas leaders and stakeholders. Led by Visas Chief Data Officer the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact complex company-wide projects related to data business strategy critical investments policy development and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visas Chief Privacy Officer the Technology organization the wider data community and the full set of Visas global lines of business the Global Data Office is evolving Visas data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. Driven by its commitment to trusted use of data Visa is seeking enthusiastic leaders who are change-agents and passionate about the future of data around the world. 

This position will support the Strategy Team in the Global Data Office.  The role will involve supporting work to define and communicate Product Data & AI strategy.

Some job duties and projects could include:  

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends opportunities and challenges related to data strategy and AI 
• Assess business problems with structured thinking to support the formation of business strategy 
• Develop rigorous fact-based quantitative analysis 
• Produce presentation materials and reports 
• Draft product stories case studies and market updates.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications  

• Students pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business Administration (or related field) with a graduation date in December 2026-August 2027  
• Strong communications skills specifically the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.  

Preferred Qualifications  

• Strong interest in pursuing a career in management consulting and/or corporate strategy 
• Passion for data emerging technologies especially AI 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data 
• Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and data analytics tools and software  
• Strong interest in Payments commerce and financial services 
• Strong ability to collaborate  
• Highly driven resourceful and results oriented. 

Additional Information :

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $26/hr to $30/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location.

Work Hours:Varies upon the needs of the department 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. 

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel5-10% of the time. 

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
