Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a visionary and accomplishedAssociate Principal Design Architectfor our Dallas office dedicated to ourLiving Practice this strategic regional leadership role you will drive design excellence across multifamily mixed-use and hospitality projects mentor multidisciplinary teams and actively develop client relationships to support the growth of our Living practice in the Dallas Texas and beyond. You will provide design oversight for projects throughout the US West and Mexico ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation in every assignment.

Role accountabilities:

Regional Design Oversight:

  • Provide design leadership and oversight for residential hospitality and mixed-use projects located across the US West and Mexico ensuring consistency quality and compliance with local codes and standards.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams in various offices to guide design vision facilitate collaboration and share best practices.

Design Leadership:

  • Lead conceptual and schematic design design development and oversee construction documentation for multifamily residential hospitality and mixed-use projects.
  • Champion creative sustainable and resilient design solutions tailored to the Living sector and client objectives.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate strengthen and expand client relationships within the residential and hospitality markets through strategic engagement and exceptional service delivery.
  • Serve as a primary Arcadis representative at client meetings presentations and industry events across the region.

Team Mentorship & Collaboration:

  • Mentor and inspire junior architects and designers within the Living practice group as well as other practice groups fostering a culture of creativity collaboration and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with engineers planners and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and impactful project outcomes.

Project & Practice Growth:

  • Drive business development efforts by leveraging existing client contacts identifying new opportunities and contributing to RFPs and interviews in the residential and hospitality sectors.
  • Support the growth and reputation of the Living studio and Arcadis through thought leadership networking and active participation in professional organizations both locally and regionally.

Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all design solutions meet relevant codes accessibility and sustainability requirements for residential and hospitality projects in the US West and Mexico.
  • Maintain quality control across all deliverables and project documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Architect in Texas (required or able to obtain promptly); registration in other US West states and/or Mexico is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of architectural design experience with a strong record of leading significant residential hospitality and mixed-use projects and teams.
  • Proven expertise in client relationship management and business development within the Living sector with experience in regional project delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in design software (Revit AutoCAD SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite); experience with visualization and BIM tools (Enscape Lumion etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with sustainable design certifications (LEED WELL etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes standards and regulatory processes for residential and hospitality projects across the US West and Mexico.
  • Familiarity with large-scale multidisciplinary project delivery in residential hospitality and mixed-use sectors.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple geographies and cultures including fluency in Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $102000 - $173000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
