Technical Sales Specialist & Systems Architect (Broadcast / Media Technology)

The company designs and supplies end-to-end hardware and software systems that power live production contribution and distribution workflows for major broadcasters sports organizations and service providers. THE ROLE
Position: Technical Sales Specialist & Systems Architect
Region: Western United States (remote full-time)
Reports to: North America leadership team
This role combines technical solution design with consultative sales support. Youll work closely with broadcast live production and telco customers to architect present and deploy high-value systems for contribution media processing and distribution applications.
Expect regular collaboration with pre-sales product and service teams as well as on-site and remote engagement with clients.
Travel requirement: approximately 4050%.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage directly with broadcast and service-provider clients to understand technical challenges and translate them into tailored solutions.
Develop and deliver proposals technical presentations and proof-of-concept deployments.
Collaborate with engineering and professional services to define solution architecture and integration strategies.
Maintain deep knowledge of compression standards codecs OTT workflows and IP-based transport (SMPTE-6 SDN).
Manage RFP/RFI processes and ensure consistent delivery quality across projects.
Represent the company in industry associations and events including technical panels or conferences.
Contribute to technical documentation white papers and market-facing insights.
ABOUT YOU
Highly motivated self-driven professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven experience (5 years) in technical sales or solution engineering within the broadcast media or telecom sectors.
Strong understanding of compression contribution OTT and distribution workflows.
Hands-on experience with IP networking (Layer 2/3) switching and orchestration systems.
Familiarity with control and API interfaces such as NMOS and REST.
Experience with on-premises and cloud-based deployments; cloud certifications (AWS GCP Azure) are an advantage.
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is beneficial.
