We are seeking a skilled experienced and reliablePet Groomerto join our team and operate our fully equippedmobile grooming vanin the Chicago area. This position is perfect for a groomer who loves working independently enjoys building strong client relationships and thrives in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
As the face of our mobile grooming business youll provide professional grooming services directly at our clients homes ensuring a convenient and stress-free experience for pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Drive and operate a company-provided grooming van safely throughout Chicago and nearby suburbs.
Perform high-quality grooming services including bathing brushing haircuts nail trimming ear cleaning and de-shedding for both dogs and cats (depending on experience).
Assess each pets coat skin and overall condition communicating any concerns to pet owners.
Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly professional and compassionate attitude.
Maintain a clean organized and sanitary grooming environment inside the van.
Manage grooming appointments efficiently while ensuring pet safety and comfort.
Handle pets with patience care and respect including those with behavioral or anxiety challenges.
Track inventory of grooming supplies and report replenishment needs.
Uphold company standards for safety quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years professional grooming experience (mobile grooming experience preferred but not required).
Must have a valid Illinois drivers license with a clean driving record.
Strong skills in breed-specific cuts scissoring and clipper work.
Ability to safely handle pets of all sizes breeds and temperaments.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Comfortable working independently and managing a daily schedule.
Physically able to lift pets up to 50 lbs (with assistance for larger breeds).
Must be reliable punctual and detail-oriented.
