The Cybersecurity Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the organizations information security governance framework ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations and assisting in the identification assessment and mitigation of cybersecurity risks. This role helps maintain a strong security posture by driving governance initiatives managing compliance activities and supporting risk management and DLP oversight efforts across the enterprise.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Support the development implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and standards.
Assist with policy governance ensuring documentation is reviewed approved and communicated across the organization.
Monitor DLP alerts ensure policy coverage rule governance and incident handling to address data protection risks.
Support the delivery of security awareness training and internal phishing campaigns.
Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for systems vendors and business processes.
Track and monitor remediation activities and ensure timely closure of identified risks and control gaps.
Maintain and update the cybersecurity risk register with current risk statuses and mitigation plans.
Perform control testing and documentation to validate adherence to security frameworks and requirements.
Basic Requirements
Two (2) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of security and risk management frameworks like NIST CSF CIS Critical Security Controls ISO 27001 NIST 800-53 FAIR and CIS
Experience building and executing cybersecurity strategies for a global organization.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in technical and business terms. Additionally must be comfortable developing presentations and delivering them to senior management.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or related degree plus five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of experience in Cybersecurity roles (i.e. incident response security operations application security etc.)
Professional certifications in IT and Cybersecurity a plus (e.g. CISSP CISM CRISC CGEIT CISA CGRC etc.).
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively.
Self-starter strong initiative critical thinker self-directed with a proven track record to collaborate and inspire change.
Experience designing and implementing cybersecurity reporting and metrics (i.e. KPI/KRI development)
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
