The FORTNA Leadership and Development Rotation (LADR) Program is a 1-year rotational program committed to the accelerated development of entry-level Professional Services and Engineering talent with a passion for technology automation and professional services coupled with a drive for exceptional client service. Through intense training and a variety of business-critical assignments technical and business skills are developed. LADR graduates have the technical and business foundation to make innovative contributions that help our clients be successful in a dynamic world. The program consists of the following tracks: Project Management Consulting Engineering Electrical Controls Engineering Client Support Maintenance and Software Development. Program members are full-time Fortna Associates and work in rotational assignments to accelerate their development and assimilation into the business.

Controls Engineering

PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Write and implement PLC code integrate subsystems and assist in all on-site commissioning efforts.

  • Utilize Human Machine Interface (HMI) using commercially available products such as Ignition Aveva Intouch Wonderware Aveva Edge (Indusoft) or FactoryTalk View to develop interface solutions.

  • Implement PLC and HMI programs to satisfy current design and customer specifications under the supervision of Sr Controls Engineers.

  • Able to review and understand electrical designs.

  • As part of a team support the commissioning of complex automated systems provide site engineering support and participate in system acceptance testing.
