Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Flux & Solid Core Welders or Mig Welders to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working on various construction and manufacturing projects ensuring high-quality standards in welding and assembly processes.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and engineering specifications to determine the layout dimensions and welding requirements.
- Lay out position align and fit components together using a variety of tools including calipers squares and rulers.
- Use hand and power tools like saws grinders and cutting torches to cut trim and shape metal parts.
- Set up and operate machinery to support fabrication such as automated punches and shears.
- Perform tack-welding bolting and clamping to secure parts in position for final welding.
- Inspect finished products for conformance to quality standards and specifications chipping or grinding off excess weld slag or spatter as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts etc.
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment such as MIG TIG and stick welders to join metal parts in various positions (e.g. flat vertical and overhead).
Skills
- Experience in MIG welding TIG welding FCAW and other welding techniques.
- Familiarity with using calipers micrometers plasma cutting equipment press brake machines and other fabrication tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
