JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
Registered Nurse - Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit
RN - NEURO TRAUMA ICU
Full-Time
Registered Nurse candidates for the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education credentials and demonstrated competence.
- Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies procedures and objectives quality improvement safety environmental and infection prevention program.
- Management of ventriculostomy EVD and ICP.
- Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH non-traumatic SAH seizures.
- Nursing care of patients post tPA thrombectomy aneurysm coiling carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting.
- Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological assessments/scales
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

RN - NEURO TRAUMA ICU

Registered Nurse candidates for the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Education
- Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
Experience
- Minimum of six months critical care RN experience in an acute care facility within the last five years required or successful completion of an approved critical care training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year RN experience in an Intensive Care unit specializing in Cardiac Neuro or Trauma
Credentials
- Required: State of Oregon Nursing License
- Required: BLS at date of hire
- Required: ACLS required within a grace period according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
- Required: NIHSS and TNCC required within 12 months of hire/transfer date.
- Preferred: CCRN and CMC
Compensation:
$47.40 - $74.48/hour
