This is a part time contract role looking for around 30 hours a week.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fund Accounting Manager to support U.S.-based clients in managing their investment fund operations. This consulting role involves overseeing fund accounting processes ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and delivering accurate financial reporting for private equity venture capital and other alternative investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage fund accounting for multiple clients including NAV calculations investor allocations and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Oversee capital call and distribution processes including waterfall calculations.
- Coordinate with auditors tax advisors and legal teams to support client reporting and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of fund transactions cash flows and asset valuations.
- Support fund setup and structuring from an accounting and operational perspective.
- Implement best practices in fund administration and reporting.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve client fund operations and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fund accounting preferably in private equity or asset management.
- Strong understanding of fund structures SPVs and U.S. regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software and Excel.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior consulting experience or work in a fund services firm.
- Familiarity with SEC filings Form PF and other U.S. compliance requirements.
- Experience with fund operations across multiple entities or jurisdictions.
