Founding Engineer for PropTech startup

We are Sebastian Seifert Andreas Veller and Achim Bönsch all graduates of the WHU Bachelor Class of 2011. After 13 successful years building the fintech company viafintech and ultimately selling it in one of Germanys largest fintech exits for a nine-figure amount we are now pursuing new challenges:

We found new ventures and invest in startups and venture capital funds.

For one of our portfolio companies the PropTech startup vivanta we are now looking for a Founding Engineer who is excited to shape the technical foundation from day one and take on a key long-term role in the company.

Tasks

Were looking for a Founding Engineer whos excited about shaping a company from the ground up - not just writing code but defining the technical foundation of our product and business.

You will:

• Design and implementation of end-to-end automations in areas such as accounting invoice approval communication and property management including monitoring logging and error handling
• Building a scalable modular platform architecture that integrates ERP CRM document management and digital owner portals. Strong focus on security scalability and maintainabilit
• Develop production-ready LLM and ML features (e.g. document classification predictive maintenance AI assistants) including prompt engineering fine-tuning and deployment
• Closely collaborate with the founders you decide on architecture tools frameworks and set technical standards (clean code testing code reviews DevOps processes)

Requirements

Were looking for someone who:

• Has deep experience with backend systems infrastructure and API design
• Thrives in early-stage environments where speed and adaptability are key
• Enjoys solving complex technical challenges with an eye toward scalability and maintainability
• Is comfortable working in-person with the founding team (not full-time remote)
• Wants to take ownershipboth in equity and in decision-making

Compensation: 6080k salary equity (pre-seed)

Location: Berlin Munich Hamburg Germany (on-site preferred with flexibility)
