Job Description:
Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking multiple Systems Engineers - Career or Expert to support our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team in Everett or Renton WA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in requirements engineering system architecture design verification & validation (V&V) and demonstrate knowledge of the Systems Engineering V-Diagram process as defined in ARP4754A/ARP4761 standards.
This role requires collaboration across multidisciplinary teams (hardware software safety and test engineering) to ensure robust system development compliance with certification standards and alignments to make a positive impact on the future of The *** Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support requirements definition decomposition and allocation from aircraft-level to system and item level.
Lead development and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architecture.
Ensure functional hazard assessments (FHA) preliminary system safety assessments (PSSA) and common mode analyses (CMA) in alignment with safety objectives.
Guide item design and implementation ensuring traceability to all levels (e.g. DRO SRO and SCD) requirements.
Develop a plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model (item verification system integration & verification aircraft-level verification).
Support safety analyses (SSA FMEA/FMES) and compliance with applicable aerospace/defense regulations (e.g. DO-178C DO-254 ARP4754A ARP4761).
Lead discussions across software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing phases.
Provide documentation and support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA).
Participate in technical design reviews audits and interchange meetings.
Required Skill:
Bachelors degree in systems engineering Aerospace Engineering Electrical/Computer Engineering or related technical field.
9 years of experience in systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace automotive or complex system domains.
Extensive hands-on experience with V-Diagram processes (requirements design implementation verification validation).
Knowledge of safety assessments (FHA PSSA SSA CMA FMEA/FMES).
Familiarity with certification frameworks (ARP4754A ARP4761 DO-178C DO-254).
Strong analytical thinking clear technical writing and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS).
Developing System modeling (SysML/UML Cameo or equivalent) at the airplane and systems level.
Leading test planning and execution across multiple integration levels.
Aircraft design development and certification knowledge.
