Emergency Department (Eve Shift) Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13-week Contract
Shift: 12-hr Eve 10:30am-11pm
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay: $2232 - $2412; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading healthcare facility in Utica NY. This role is ideal for a compassionate RN with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department including triage assessment treatment and stabilization.
- Manage both adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of medical trauma and behavioral conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and orders.
- Accurately document all patient interactions and care in EPIC EMR.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans medications and follow-up care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.
- Float to other units as required based on staffing needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience including some pediatric exposure.
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Active New York RN License (required).
- Current certifications (AHA):
- ACLS BLS PALS NIHSS & TNCC
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system (required).
- Strong clinical skills adaptability and excellent communication.
