Job Summary

Software Engineering

Work Location: Onsite in New York

Contract-

Skills:

7 years as a software engineer. Requires 3 years android experience and 1 year experience on project management as will be managing their own projects

50% of the time this role will be in the lab and will be technical lab support debugging and triaging devices for the lab. Other 50% will be to developing new features on new wearable device so will need android experience

Verbal and written communication skills problem solving skills customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.

Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development testing and delivery.

Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.

Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to systems such as SQL VisualBasic etc.

Top 5 must-have HARD skills:

1. Requires 7 years as a software engineer. Requires 3 years android experience. Requires 1 year experience on project management as will be managing their own projects

2. Strong communication as they will be working on cross functional projects and managing their own projects

(Android Open Source Project) Experience.
