Title: Residency Program Coordinator
Location: Oakland CA
Duration: 3 Months with possible extension
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Job Summary
- Provides coordination in the planning organization communication and evaluation of all activities within the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Job Roles:
- Coordinates credentialing privileging and provider enrollment paperwork for Chief Residents and internal medicine in-training examination administration.
- Coordinates interview process ranking and post-match activities and information related to recruitment fairs.
- Coordinates the distribution tracking and filing of physician-in-training faculty rotation evaluations semi-annual file reviews and completion of Program Information form - (PIF) for ACGME review.
- Enables and assists residents in obtaining clinical productivity information such as improving access to productivity and quality measures data and resident education. Maintains ACGME web ADS American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Tracking ERAS NRMP surveys and national reports.
- Manages internal processes including Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) process Interview Broker database process etc.
- Manages supporting documentation for residency reaccreditation regulatory issues legal and risk management issues and reimbursement audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned. -
- Verifies Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) documentation and ensures visa requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
- Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in relevant field.
- Preferred Experience: Experience within a residency program or similar environment. Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Required Experience: Three years experience within a clinical healthcare environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Act in an appropriate and professional manner as defined by the companys Standards of Behavior Policy and Procedures and Scope of Services.
- Basic interpersonal analytical critical thinking presentation skills. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Basic knowledge of organization/structure of healthcare organizations regulations policies and procedures work practices; forms and documents associated with graduate medical education and accreditation standards.
- Correct business English including spelling grammar and punctuation. Current office administrative practices and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Good organizational prioritization time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint). Role model AHS Standards of Behavior.
- Use independent judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures.
