Tekberry is looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer III to join our client a global leader in advanced manufacturing technologies engineering platforms and process innovation. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities:Lead and support hands-on qualification and ramp-up of high-speed cable manufacturing process equipment.
Drive process control variability reduction defect reduction capacity improvement and Six Sigma (DMAIC) problem-solving initiatives.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical electrical controls IT operations facilities).
Apply advanced engineering methods and data-driven analysis to improve performance and solve manufacturing challenges.
Conduct experiments to expand process understanding and support technology deployment.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures job aids and training documentation.
Lead or influence manufacturing process improvement projects ensuring alignment with process discipline and safety standards.
Mentor and coach junior engineers in the use of Six Sigma TRIZ KT-PA and related methodologies.
Present technical updates and project results to leadership and plant management.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process or Manufacturing Engineer in a production environment.
Bachelors degree strongly preferred; candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven hands-on manufacturing experience with strong analytical data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated expertise in process improvement process control and statistical analysis (SPC DoE Six Sigma).
Proficiency in JMP Minitab Power BI or similar tools for data visualization and performance tracking.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Experience using root cause analysis tools (5 Whys Fishbone RCA) and problem-solving frameworks (PEX DMAIC).
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with high-speed cable manufacturing equipment (jacketing ribbon stranding buffering) is a plus.
Six Sigma certification.
Experience leading projects in a high-speed or precision manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with mechanical electrical and controls engineering disciplines.
Demonstrated experience using process excellence (PEX) tools to monitor and improve performance.
BS in Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Travel Requirements:
Primarily local to Hickory NC. Minimal travel expected.
Work Environment:
Onsite manufacturing facility. May require weekend or holiday work during key installation phases.
