Job Summary

This is a remote position.

This position is open to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United Kingdom.

This position may involve access to nuclear technical data regulated under U.S. 10 CFR Part 810. To comply with U.S. export control laws only applicants who are citizens of the United Kingdom United States Australia and/or countries generally authorized under 10 CFR Part 810 will be considered.

Your role

Were looking for a Director of our office in the United Kingdom to manage the growing team and client base in the UK and across Europe.

The UK Director will lead Helixos strategic operational and business development activities in the United Kingdom. This role is responsible for expanding Helixos presence in the UK market building partnerships with key stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of consulting projects aligned with Helixos mission.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Helixos UK operations in alignment with global strategy and growth ambitions.

  • Shape and execute UK market strategy for clean-tech nuclear and fusion energy consulting.

  • Represent Helixos in senior forums policy discussions and industry working groups across the UK and Europe.

  • Build and maintain relationships with government investors research organisations and industry leaders.

  • Identify pursue and secure high-value consulting opportunities in the UK and European markets.

  • Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships and contracts.

  • Oversee delivery of complex multi-stakeholder projects ensuring quality timeliness and budget control.

  • Provide strategic guidance and quality assurance across policy strategy and commercialisation work-streams.

  • Recruit mentor and manage the UK team fostering an inclusive high-performance culture.

  • Collaborate with international colleagues to share knowledge capabilities and resources.



Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategy consulting technology commercialisation or senior leadership within the energy or clean-tech sectors with a focus on nuclear and fusion.

  • Proven success in business development and securing multi-million-pound contracts.

  • Strong understanding of UK and European policy regulation and funding landscapes for clean technology and energy. A plus if you have experience in the nuclear and/or fusion sector.

  • Track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset to grow a regional sector within a global business.

  • Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Can zoom out to macro trends and zoom in to identify actionable commercial paths.

  • Pay attention to the cultural zeitgeist in technology startups and policy and have an instinct for where the world might be heading.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced remote team across multiple time zones.

  • Care about sustainability energy and the long-term future of the planet.
