Job Summary

To inspect repair replace install adjust and maintain all electrical equipment. Ensure all machines and building systems are properly repaired. Make electronic repairs at various times to build knowledge and expertise. Electricians must be capable of repairing any AC or DC drives to the best of their abilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repairs installations and inspection work to be performed.
  • Inspect all electrical equipment for proper operation wear and compliance with safety standards.
  • Check motor bearings for lubrication excessive vibration and signs of wear or need for adjustment.
  • Perform monthly ISO preventive maintenance inspections ensuring all activities are thoroughly documented and time is accurately recorded to support compliance traceability and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Pull and prepare motors for repair when required ensuring proper documentation and handling.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of any electrical repairs needed to maintain optimal equipment efficiency.
  • Determine the best repair approach to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and trace circuits determine material and replacement needs and develop logical troubleshooting and repair strategies to resolve equipment issues.
  • Adjust equipment to achieve proper operating characteristics including calibrating control settings aligning mechanical components fine-tuning sensors and interlocks and verifying performance through functional testing and routine preventive maintenance checks.
  • Perform temporary or permanent repairs on control panels relays interlocking control systems electronic devices and circuit breakers. Conduct preventive maintenance including visual inspections cleaning tightening connections testing functionality verifying proper operation of interlocks and safety devices and replacing worn or defective components to maintain system reliability and compliance.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on cranes and hoists including inspections lubrication mechanical adjustments replacement of worn parts testing of limit switches and safety devices and documentation of all work to ensure regulatory compliance and equipment reliability.
  • Maintain power rooms to ensure they are clean well-lit and properly ventilated supporting safe working conditions and optimal equipment performance.
  • Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting and maintenance on PLCs and instrumentation systems including verifying I/O signals checking sensors and actuators reviewing ladder logic or control programs for faults and ensuring proper communication between field devices and control systems to support reliable operation.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on AC and DC drives including inspections cleaning and tightening of connections verifying proper ventilation checking for abnormal heat or vibration monitoring drive parameters and fault logs updating firmware as required and replacing worn or damaged components to ensure reliable performance and extended service life.
  • Strictly follow Arc Flash safety procedures when performing electrical repairs including proper PPE use boundary establishment equipment de-energization and verification and adherence to all applicable NFPA 70E and facility safety requirements.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with OSHA 1910.147 and facility requirements when servicing or maintaining equipment. Ensure all energy sources are properly identified isolated locked and verified prior to starting work and remove locks and tags only after confirming the area is safe for operation.
  • Create and manage work orders and record daily time in the JDE CMMS to ensure accurate maintenance tracking and documentation.
  • Perform daily housekeeping to maintain clean organized and safe work environments.

Hourly position 

$1.50 shift differential (if applicable)

Monthly Incentive Payments after 90 day probationary period is complete.


Qualifications :

Required Qualifications

  • Must have at least 5 years electrical experience or technical training.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Electricians will be required to use JDE CMMS.
  • Electricians should possess math skills and mechanical aptitude. 
  • Electricians must have the ability to use and read micrometers tape measure feeler gauge and basic hand tools. 
  • Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts. 
  • Pushing/pulling lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Standard office equipment including computer mouse keyboard telephone multifunction copier
  • Personal protective equipment including safety glasses hearing protection and steel-toed safety shoes.
  • Successful candidates are welcome to use their own hand tools in this role subject to approval from supervisor

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
