JOB DESCRIPTION:

The scope of our mission is to reinforce a procurement team as a right-hand Project Lead to secure and optimize direct purchasing processes supporting industrial infrastructure activities and ensure competitive compliant and sustainable sourcing.

The key responsibilities expected from our on-site delegate might include:

- Define and develop a long-term purchasing vision for certain categories of goods and services (purchase plan).
- Detect in time the purchasing needs of internal clients based on data analysis and regular contacts.
- Lead the full tender process; contribution varies with the complexity of the file.
- Apply an adapted negotiation strategy to find the most advantageous solution.
- Create sufficient market opening by examining internal demand and timely generating market interest.
- Manage ongoing contracts during their validity (claims possible renegotiations etc.) in consultation with internal clients.
- Update technical and commercial specifications according to the desired outcome.

The experience we are actively looking for:
- Masters degree in Industrial Sciences Applied Economics or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience ideally in an industrial environment.
- Proven experience in negotiation and public tender procedures (must have)
- Experience with technical purchases is an advantage.
- Strong drafting skills and ease with contractual texts.
- Proactive assertive and diplomatic approach with problem-solving mindset.
- Strong team spirit organizational ability and stress resilience.
- Fluent in French and Dutch with good command of English.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Coupa is a plus.
- Valid driving license B.
- An entrepreneurial experience or ambition is a plus (extra-professional or extra-academic is a great start).
- Immediate availability is preferred.
- Presence in Belgium is preferred with valid Single permit for non-EU citizens.
