Senior Software Engineer IT Management Domain (Frontend)

Factorial is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of internal IT tools for thousands of businesses worldwide.

Youll join the newly formed IT Management domain where were creating a platform to manage onboarding permissions support and equipment so new employees are productive from day one. If youre excited about shaping a new product area owning features end-to-end and working in a people-first company with a strong engineering culture this role is for you.

Even if were looking for someone who can work across the tech stack we have were particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in frontend development: React JavaScript or TypeScript.

About the IT Management Domain

Factorial is an all-in-one business management software designed to help managers of businesses overcome their daily challenges around People Operations Talent Development and Financial Management. Because managers are not just there to manage people but to bring out the best in them.

Our vision is that Factorial must include a product that makes onboarding new employees a simple and streamlined process from the point of view of equipment permissions and accesses.

Our mission in the IT Management Domain is building this new product in Factorial including multiples moving pieces (inventory management support ticketing MDM IdP integrated onboarding etc.) so employees are productive as soon as they receive the equipment and complete the onboarding process.

The Engineering team at large

At Factorial we have a team of 150 very talented fullstack developers. We look for smart people who are curious proactive and have good soft/communication skills.

We are not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. Our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/React-native for the clients.

Your profile

8. You have a couple of years of experience working as a software engineer.

At Factorial we dont evaluate you by the years of experience you have we evaluate your knowledge skills and engagement. How We have a Career Path with a rubric framework where we define what is expected for each experience level and skill. This framework allows you to know at which level youre right now and what you need to keep growing. As we love transparency our Career Path includes the salaries for each level and we share it during the first interview to make sure were aligned.

For this senior-level position the annual gross salary is 60500 regardless of your location. This includes a base salary of 55000 and a variable pay of up to 5500 annually (paid quarterly) depending on the companys goals.

Your daily life with us

Youll start with a 2 weeks onboarding period where you will:

1. You will be learning about Factorial our product our team our clients

2. Pair with each member of the team at least once to see their current initiatives

3. Solve low-stake bug tickets or quick wins

4. Commit early and often thanks to our cloud dev environment

5. Be fully integrated in the teams rituals from day 1

A Senior engineer at Factorial influences requirements definition with the PM and is autonomous to deliver a polished solution that matches those. You participate in the teams decision through Requests For Comments that you write yourself or reading others.

You will be a product engineer taking ownership of big initiatives and being interested in the outcome not just the output. About the outcome youll also work with your team members to establish goals and plan a quarterly roadmap putting special attention to the technical needs of our domain.

You will be involved in customer calls to learn about their pains & needs.

You will review code daily and get feedback on your own code at every pull request from all team members including juniors.

You will learn from the entire team both on technical topics (performance architecture) and core skills in an environment driven by engineering quality. You will also mentor junior team members and help them learn from your experience..
