JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Maryland license (will consider candidates needing to obtain one); IMLC accepted
Board: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
DEA: Required
Certifications: ACLS BLS CPR required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in OB/GYN
Other Qualifications: Experience with labor and delivery antepartum/postpartum rounding and emergent GYN cases
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call coverage including labor delivery and emergency GYN surgeries
Manage 610 inpatient and postpartum cases per day
Oversee inductions deliveries and cesarean sections scheduled for the service
Respond promptly to emergency and consult calls
Collaborate with midwives CRNAs and anesthesia team to ensure coordinated patient care
Perform documentation and charting accurately in Epic EMR
Support neonatal resuscitation efforts when required
Ensure compliance with UPMC Western Maryland hospital policies and credentialing standards
Participate in ongoing locum coverage rotation as needed
