The Showreel Editor will be responsible for conceptualizing editing and delivering dynamic showreels case studies and internal/external presentation videos. The role requires a strong sense of storytelling rhythm and tone — as well as the ability to source and sync music that enhances the emotional arc of each edit.
A working knowledge of color grading is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver high-quality showreels promotional videos and internal presentation reels.
- Collaborate with the Creative Head Producers and Supervisors to identify compelling visuals and narratives.
- Source select and integrate suitable music and sound design to amplify the storytelling impact.
- Ensure consistent visual tone pacing and brand identity across all reels.
- Perform basic to intermediate color correction and grading (using DaVinci Resolve or Premiere).
- Maintain organized project files asset libraries and version control.
- Manage multiple edit timelines and deliverables while meeting creative and technical standards.
- Contribute ideas for new reel formats visual treatments and presentation styles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 35 years of professional experience in creative editing (post-production advertising or VFX).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong storytelling instincts and understanding of visual rhythm.
- Ability to find and adapt music/soundtracks that enhance emotional tone.
- Understanding of color correction grading and finishing workflows.
- Familiarity with VFX breakdowns and production pipelines (preferred).
- Bonus: Basic motion graphics or After Effects knowledge.
