Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Mechanic Assistant to join our C-17 team in San Antonio TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist Aircraft Mechanics in servicing repairing and overhauling of aircraft and related components
- Technicians will support modifications of various aircraft platforms
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of various basic hand tools (list examples)
- Understanding basic drawings and schematics
- Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Precision Measuring Tools (micrometers dial indicators)

Summary Starting Pay Rate: $50000 / $24.04 per hour
Additive Pay:
- $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification
- $1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
