About the role

The Student Finance Officer is responsible for a range of administrative functions including the processing of student fee refunds and agent commission payments ensuring compliance with Government legislation University policy accounting timelines and contractual obligations. This role requires day-to-day financial operational support on purchasing and accounts receivable transactions to students and staff across Higher Education and TAFE.

You will:

  • provide accurate and timely advice in accordance with relevant policy procedure and legislation;

  • responsible for the end-to-end processing of student fee refunds in a timely manner;

  • responsible for assessing and processing agent commission payments ensuring the recording and maintenance of agent agreement information enrolment details and financial records; and

  • responsible for the accurate allocation monitoring and reporting of tuition fee scholarships and waivers.

About you

Reporting to the Senior Officer Student Finance you are required to show initiative accuracy attention to detail which are of utmost importance in this role. You will also develop and maintain working knowledge and application of information relating to the student lifecycle and relevant policy procedure and legislation.

You will possess:

  • knowledge of financial functions and processes;

  • ability to deliver quality customer service and quality assurance;

  • analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to research interpret and evaluate information and data; and

  • the ability to establish collaborative and effective working relationships and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
