We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and setting up CNC mills (vertical horizontal 5-axis) and lathes with a deep understanding of precision machining and quality standards on 2nd shift.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up CNC mills (vertical horizontal 5-axis) and CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools fixtures and materials for each job.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.
- Measure mark and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision instruments (micrometers calipers gauges etc.).
- Adjust machine settings tool offsets and feeds/speeds to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order and ensure a clean organized work environment.
- Record production data job progress and inspection results accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers programmers and inspectors to resolve machining or design issues.
- Safely lift and move materials as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related industry.
- Familiarity with inspection processes and basic quality standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Commitment to safety protocols and workplace cleanliness.
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Overtime may be required including weekends.
