ABOUT THE POSITION:

Anchin is seeking an experienced Resource Manager to join our growing team. This individual will oversee day-to-day staffing and scheduling for the Attest department while also playing a strategic role in designing scalable long-term solutions that support firm growth and team development.

The ideal candidate is strategic yet hands-on calm under pressure and thrives in a collaborative fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with professionals at all levels from staff to Partner along with key stakeholders including the Managing Director Head of Attest COO CHRO HR Business Partners and CTO.

This is more than a scheduling role. You will play a critical part in shaping career experiences balancing business priorities and supporting the delivery of exceptional client service across the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategically schedule Attest professionals on engagements based on skill sets availability client deadlines complexity and consideration to industry assignment.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Attest departments business goals to help prioritize resources effectively.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts by partnering with engagement teams to develop workable team-supported solutions.
  • Monitor staff workloads identify imbalances and deploy resources to maximize productivity and minimize burnout.
  • Analyze utilization and scheduling reports to identify trends gaps and opportunities; communicate insights to industry and department leadership.
  • Regularly prepare staffing-related reports and strategic updates for senior leadership.
  • Lead and facilitate career mapping discussions to support staff development progression and retention.
  • Lead capacity forecasting and annual FTE planning
  • Collaborate with Attest leadership to plan for various business situations such as early work compression regulatory shifts M&A volume changes etc. (Scenario planning)
  • Monitor and support career-growth readiness by ensuring rising staff are provided stretch opportunities.
  • Use judgement active listening skills and feedback in daily interactions to identify and communicate needs for staff mentoring and support as they arise.
  • Proactively address staffing-related concerns including morale performance and career alignment.
  • Collaborate with HR on performance matters onboarding and employee experience improvements.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new hires to ensure seamless integration into project schedules and team culture.
  • Monitor leveraging review with assigned team leads and work with teams to ensure job assignments fall within Firm leveraging protocols.
  • Monitor staff to partner ratio on assigned and new work to ensure staff and in-charges are not assigned across too many Partners.
  • Connect with Staff regularly to understand scheduled to actual variances.
  • Provide guidance to Staff regarding Firm Resource Management protocols and expectations.
  • Run weekly RM meetings as necessary to review schedules assignments bottlenecks staffing trends capacity (over/under) for following two weeks.
  • Champion full and accurate use of scheduling and timekeeping systems.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in scheduling and approval workflows and recommend enhancements.
  • Lead early preparation and firm-wide coordination of busy season planning

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree required.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a professional services or public accounting environment preferably in resource management or client-service roles.
  • 5 years of direct resource management experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Dayshape Retain or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.

Compensation:

  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $125000 to $150000based on the individuals experience level.
