Overview:
As the Program Supervisor of Integrated Health (IH) you would support a team of direct service providers working across Mendocino County. You would supervise care managers providing ECM to people experiencing homelessness children families people with severe mental illness and people with substance use challenges. ECM provides support to highly vulnerable participants through intensive coordination of health and health-related services. ECM providers coordinate care and services among the physical behavioral dental developmental and social services delivery systems making it easier for participants to get the right care at the right time. These services improve access to care for people with complex needs and who are facing difficult life and health circumstances. This is a full-time position working in team group and one-on-one settings with Care Managers Peer Support Counselors behavioral health providers foster family services support service providers community partners and clients. You would work collaboratively with the Program Manager and Director to support the service team to deliver trauma-informed compassionate services. You would also work with the teams at other agency projects to serve children youth and adults. You would be responsible for scheduling training and coaching program staff to build a team that ensures quality service and care. You would monitor the provision of client services and documentation providing direct client services as needed. You would work collaboratively with other service providers and agencies to improve access to housing and other resources necessary to improve quality of life. As a member of the leadership team for our homeless and housing programs in Mendocino County you would be on a rotating schedule to provide 24 hour on call support for the Building Bridges emergency shelter and the permanent housing projects RCS operates. As IH Supervisor you would aid with the expansion and development of ECM across the county. Seeking candidates with experience with MediCal managed care plans health care systems homeless services continuum of care and/or children welfare systems. Ideal candidates are creative leaders who think outside the box and enjoy developing new systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and providing guidance to counselors therapists and other clinical staff including hiring training and performance evaluations.
- Provide leadership and oversight for crisis clinical services including programs serving adults transitional age youth (TAY) and adult residential care.
- Coordinate and ensure the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services in alignment with organizational goals and standards of care.
- Monitor program revenue and expenses to support the financial sustainability and well-being of assigned programs.
- Collaborate with treatment teams to assist in the development of treatment plans and participate in treatment reviews strategic planning meetings and clinical consultations as needed.
- Oversee clinical operations for crisis and adult services ensuring effective delivery of individual therapy rehabilitation and case management services ensuring that services are delivered according to best practices and ethical standards.
- Maintaining compliance with federal state and accreditation standards related to substance use disorder treatment.
- Building and maintaining relationships with community partners referral sources and other stakeholders to support program goals and client needs.
- Ensure high-quality clinical documentation including assessments and reassessments that reflect collaboration among treatment teams and active client participation.
- Participate in ongoing budget planning review program budgets and authorize expenditures in accordance with organizational policy.
- Lead and facilitate regular staff meetings; provide supervision coaching and training to clinical and support staff.
- In partnership with the Clinical Director and Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) team identify training needs and ensure staff are adequately equipped to meet clinical standards.
Education:
Strongly desired College degree in social work or related field strongly desired.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience. Minimum of three (3) years of case management experience in a nonprofit social services setting.
Strongly desired lived experience with child welfare system homelessness mental illness substance use challenges etc.
Strongly desired experience working with people experiencing homelessness mental illness substance use child welfare system etc. Strongly desired Experience and/or training in harm reduction Housing First trauma-informed low barrier service environments.
Strongly desired Experience with data management reporting and data analysis systems. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.).
Conditions of Employment:
- Must possess a valid CA Drivers License current auto insurance and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ & FBI.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
Other Requirements
- Driving is a required function of this position both company and personal vehicles. Must use a personal vehicle that meets all agency requirements including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
On-Call Rotation Responsibilities:
- Participate in the programs on-call rotation.
- Commit to a minimum of one weekend per month.
- Sign and adhere to the on-call agreement.
- Develop and maintain the on-call schedule for the program.
Training Provided:
- Training: Preferred Training in harm reduction Housing First trauma-informed low barrier service models. RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation which includes CPR/First Aid Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT Trauma-Informed Care Motivational Interviewing Collaborative Problem Solving introductions to all RCS departments and other valuable trainings.
