Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Location: Milan Italy - On-site presence required 4 days per week
Department: AlinIQ Product R&D Abbott Core Diagnostics
Abbott is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to design develop and execute manual and automated tests for our informatics products. Youll work in an Agile Scrum environment collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role involves building and maintaining automation tools performing test case analysis and supporting product releases and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automated tests for server web and cloud-based applications.
- Develop test cases for black/white box testing and continuous integration.
- Analyze test results perform root cause analysis and document findings.
- Collaborate with developers QA and analysts to ensure test coverage and compliance.
- Support audits and product re-certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 2 years in software development or testing.
- Knowledge of SDLC testing methodologies and at least one OOP language.
- Experience with test case management tools.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Skills
- Python JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
- JIRA Jenkins GitHub Agile/Scrum.
- Healthcare standards (ASTM HL7) and quality processes.
