Job Summary

Job Summary:
The After-School Choir Club Teacher provides students with an opportunity to explore vocal music develop performance skills and build teamwork in a supportive and creative environment. The teacher leads rehearsals selects age-appropriate repertoire and prepares students for performances that showcase their learning and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan organize and lead weekly choir rehearsals after school.
Teach vocal technique music literacy and performance skills to middle school students of varying ability levels.
Select arrange and prepare choral repertoire suitable for student voices and school events.
Foster a positive inclusive and encouraging environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
Prepare students for concerts assemblies or community performances.
Communicate with families and school staff regarding program activities and performance schedules.
Manage attendance behavior and rehearsal logistics to ensure a safe and productive club environment.

Qualifications:

Teaching credential and/or music education background preferred.
Experience in choral directing vocal performance or music instruction.
Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
Ability to inspire motivate and engage middle school students in music.
Organizational skills to plan rehearsals and coordinate performances.
