Key responsibilities include:
Issuing permits to work and hot work permits for onsite and external contractors
Reviewing JSA and SWMS documents and ensuring contractor compliance with H&S guidelines
Monitoring and managing site security including gatehouse duties CCTV systems and perimeter checks
Performing daily facility inspections and reporting any maintenance needs
Assisting departments with bin collection truck loading and general site logistics
Operating forklifts and MHE to support logistics and recycling processes
Managing cardboard and polystyrene baling to support our sustainability efforts
Supporting general facilities maintenance as needed
Qualifications :
Must Have:
35 years experience in a facilities-based role
Proven experience issuing permits to work and hot work permits
Understanding of working at heights and relevant safety protocols
Familiarity with building WOF processes and regulatory compliance
Experience monitoring contractors and ensuring adherence to H&S policies and procedures
A proactive attitude and a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities
Good communication skills and the ability to work well independently and within a team
Basic computer literacy for logging inspections reviewing permits and reporting tasks
Desirable:
MHE licence (or willingness to obtain one)
Experience using CCTV and Building Management Systems (BMS)
