DescriptionVision Point Systems Inc. is recruiting a qualified Management Assistant for immediate employment to support our U.S. Marine Corps client at the Camp Kinser Corrosion Repair Facility (CRF) in Okinawa Japan. The CRF Management Assistant augments USMC Government staff by providing subject matter expertise in the areas of: Production Control Database Management Quality Assurance Facility Management and Administrative Support. Typical duties include:
- Production control and materials management data recording within the Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Program Management Tool; submit weekly data information queries to the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) CPAC Program Office
- Review monthly production schedules; receive and induct equipment into the CRF.
- Coordinate with USMC USA USN and USAF units using the CRF. Inform units when assets are completed and ready for pickup. Release completed equipment to owning units.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of completed work and record/analyze quality data.
- Coordinate with Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC) officials on all facility management concerns including but not limited to facility maintenance requests real property inventory and accountability Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and Hazardous Waste (HW) management DLA-Disposition Services etc.
- Develop and maintain CRF administrative documents such as SOPs Site Safety Plans etc.
- Perform additional tasks requested by the CRF Manager and/or MCSC CPAC Team Lead to alleviate Government labor shortfalls.
Requirements- High school graduate or equivalent.
- >4 years experience in production control maintenance management or maintenance administration.
- Ability to access USMC networks (favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or higher background investigation).
- Ability to meet civilian component requirements per the U.S./Japan Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) Article 1b (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident no residency status in Japan).
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced operational environment while adapting to unplanned urgent requirements.
- Ability to work in a diverse multi-disciplined team environment.
- Functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office365 productivity suite including MS Access.
- Valid U.S. drivers license.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Most work is in an office setting; however the CRF is a large-scale industrial coating facility and the selected applicant will be exposed to typical inconveniences and hazards associated with this type of environment such as loud noise heavy machinery movements hazardous materials and dust. The selected applicant will be required to wear a respirator hard-hat eye and ear protection and safety shoes when accessing shop industrial spaces. Vision Point Systems will provide all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates will be considered highly qualified if they possess one or more of the following:
- Associates degree (or higher) in Business Management or similar.
- Experience leading and managing operations at a military Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA).
- Knowledge of and experience with the USMC CPAC Program Management Database.
- Knowledge of and experience with Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps (GCSS-MC).
- Professional management certifications (e.g. Project Management Professional Lean Six Sigma etc.).
- Professional coatings certifications (e.g. Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) etc.).
- Functional conversational Japanese ability.
