The Team:
The Air Quality Monitoring Unit with the Ministry of Environment and Parks is an established highly skilled team that plays a crucial role in overseeing the provinces air quality monitoring network. With a focus on precision and excellence the team is composed of 11 professionals who work independently and efficiently to gather and analyse air quality data used for impact assessments and air quality notifications. The teams expertise in air quality instrumentation and commitment to high data standards make them an invaluable part of the wider BC Air Quality program.
The Role:
As a Senior Air Quality Technologist you are responsible for maintaining the air quality monitoring network in the Omineca-Peace region minimizing downtime and quickly troubleshooting any instrumentation failures. Your work will directly support the health and safety of British Columbians as the data you help maintain informs air quality notifications and environmental impact assessments. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys independent work traveling the region and contributing to meaningful environmental science that has real-world impact.

There is currently one (1) permanent full time position available in Prince George.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
