About the Role:
This position working under the supervision of the Quality Manager is responsible for process documentation completing quality deliverables on new product launches ensuring all process changes have accurate documentation completed and other process/quality improvements as addition this individual will be responsible for answering technical questions from the workforce perform structured root cause analysis using standard techniques and support all product qualifications with respect to Quality testing and reporting.
What You Will Do:
Responsible to support the improvement of plant metrics with support teams (M-QCR RACI Reprints Cost of Quality)
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Systems Processes Procedures SOPs and Corrective Actions for Quality issues
Responsible for meeting annual Hoshin goals (based on split individual/department)
Responsible for the disposition of raw material in the Quarantine Area (non conforming material)
Leads Continuous Improvement activities within the Quality team
Provide Manufacturing Area Team with input and feedback on product & process quality findings (from inspections audits analysis)
Create and maintain Quality Standards for all new and existing products regularly reviewing these standards against customer feedback and making changes/improvements as necessary
Create Process Flow Control Plans PFMEA and Standard Operating Procedures
Create and update short term and long term quality status ranking major quality issues and work with management team on prioritizing and planning improvement activities and resources required to address these issues
Apply structured Root-Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) techniques and apply them regularly documenting the results and following up on execution and effectiveness
Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording evaluating and reporting data
Train others on problem solving techniques through small-group problem solving activities
Be actively and productively involved with cross-functional teams as a representative of Quality
Utilize Quality software applications and analytic dashboards for investigations
Deliver periodic VSO Quality Reviews and Floor Walk presentations for responsible Manufacturing Area with respect to Quality metrics initiatives and challenges
Lead & support color process controls and product color management systems
Complete second-level verifications of audit failures to ensure consistency of the audit process
Create apply and ownership of Quality Walls (product inspections) including use of inspection applications
Support the development training and adherence to CTQs (Critical to Quality) for all team members
Maintains a high level of professionalism while working through challenging tasks
Escalates issues to management and appropriately manages disagreements with utmost professionalism and adherence to the Vista Behaviors
Other tasks as required for business operations
What You Need:
3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance or Lean Manufacturing
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
ASQ Quality Certification/Certified Quality Engineer Certification preferred
Green/Black Belt Certification considered an asset
Print color management experience considered an asset
Must have clearly proven problem-solving skills as well as good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Quality Assurance Management Systems
Experience in Statistical analysis techniques (ie Minitab) ergonomics and process flow
Strong common sense decision-making skills and able to react with a sense of urgency
Experience communicating to groups and training effectively to a broad spectrum of audiences
Proven strong organizational communication and planning skills with ability to provide leadership and support
Advanced computer skills with ability to learn with traditional Microsoft software (Excel Word outlook PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace software (Sheets Docs Gmail Slides)
